Live 4K view from Maui Sands

Watch the Pacific Ocean live from Maui Sands in Honokowai.

LIVE · WEST MAUI

This continuous 4K YouTube livestream shows the oceanfront view from Maui Sands. Depending on the time and season, viewers may see brilliant sunsets, changing surf, tropical weather, passing boats and marine life.

During winter whale season, the camera offers a wide view across the waters between Maui and Molokaʻi. Humpback activity is never guaranteed, but patient viewers may spot blows, breaches, tail slaps or other movement on the horizon.

Broadcasting since 2021

Hawaiʻi’s first 4K webcam

Maui Sands launched this continuous oceanfront camera in 2021 as the first 4K webcam in the state of Hawaiʻi. Its view looks west from Honokowai across the Pacific toward Molokaʻi, documenting changing surf, weather, sunsets, boats and marine life throughout the year.

During whale season, scan for brief white splashes, dark backs and blows against the horizon. The camera may also capture spinner dolphins offshore, green sea turtles near the reef or, occasionally, a Hawaiian monk seal along the shoreline. Wildlife is never staged or guaranteed—the appeal is watching this living coastline in real time.
